You recently subscribed to our newsletter. And I get it - you are still wary about what you are going to get from just another marketing newsletter. Yes, we are marketing bloggers - we run The Social Ms. Yes, we make our living from selling marketing information products on the web. But we also give a shitload of information out for free. And we don't write lengthy emails every day - we keep our newsletter to the point and don't want to waste your time. Here is what you can expect from this newsletter: - Emails about new posts on The Social Ms - Emails about older posts that we believe still provide a lot of value (and that you are not going to find anywhere else on the web) - Exclusive information and free ebooks that you won't find on our blog. So let's start with a couple of posts that we believe represent the value you can get from our content well: First, here is a post about some advanced SEO strategies that although advanced every blogger should know about: 3 SEO Traffic Hacks Every Blogger Should Know: Bigger Results, Less Work For every website, there are only 3 forms of web traffic: Paid, Social and SEO. Let’s make one thing very clear right from the start: Social Media Marketing does not equal Content Marketing and Content Marketing does not equal SEO. ... Read the full post on our blog. Finally, here is a post that will let you learn by our mistakes - and the worst advice that we ever got from other social media "experts". The 17 Worst Social Media Tips I Ever Got A couple of years ago, I was a total social media fool. I mean, I registered on Facebook because my brother Jonathan and I founded an online based company – everybody was already there and talking, and I did not know how it all worked. I got a personal Twitter account to give our newly created company account a first follower; I had no clue that my personal account would fast outgrow our company account and become one of our most valuable social media assets. We desperately lacked knowledge, so we talked to many people, who we thought had it all figured out, what we should do and how social media would be done right. That was in 2010. We got some great tips and funny hacks, like clicking on user profiles in XING (the German language equivalent to LinkedIn); that one really worked because Xing shows their users the visitors to the profiles, people got curious and we got their attention. Not a real strategy but it got us some first users for our startup. ... Read the full post on our blog. I guess that is enough for today. Let us know what you think of these posts! And our approach to blogging in general. Jonathan (The Social Ms)
